| The UGN Security IRC Network was created in early 1999. Due to early instability the server has gained and lost users on a continuous basis. Presently we have 2 IRC servers that are generally online for all users. Their setup as a round robin so if one is down you can always connect through irc.undergroundnews.com.
The Network was created primarily for our site and affiliated sites. In late January of 2004 we added dynamic channel creation for users to create their own channels.
Channels are however monitored by our administrative staff (see #staff). The administrators of the server reserve the right to ban anyone preforming any illegal activity from the IRC server at any time.
