ChanServ and NickServ give you an ability to register your channels and nicks. Also more powerful tools like giving access rights to your channels to other people or send them messages, also when they are not actually online, using MemoServ. If you want your own, personal virtual-host, you can ask for it using HostServ (vhost is activated by oper). All services has command "help" which provides.. help ;) in 13 languages, so they are easy to use.
