UniBG uses a patched version of ratbox-services from 18 mar 2007 and a separate seen service. Before that, for over 8 years hybserv 1.6 was used. The new services offer superior scalability and security and most importantly enable users to manage their nicknames and channels even when they keep forgetting important passwords. Services offer bilingual interface - Bulgarian and English.

Services may be accessed via /msg servicenick, or /servicenick (eg. /ns help register). The second mechanism provides a more secure way of communicating with services and its use is therefore encouraged.
All services support /servicenick HELP

NS - Used to register a nickname, this is a prerequisite to register a channel. When you register a nickname, you're required to supply a working email. This is your 'proof of ownership' of the nickname. In case your password gets compromised or lost, you can set a new password via the email you supplied when registering (check /NS HELP for details).
CS - Used to register a channel, provided one has a nickname registration. Registered channels (after 18 mar 2007) don't have a password, but instead are bound to the nickname of their founder and important channel decisions must be acknowledged via the founder's email.

SeenServ - this service lets people search for a given nickname via /msg SeenServ seen somenick.
Seen - more sophisticated version of SeenServ. Searches for hostnames and idents are possible aswell.
