Our Anope services allow users to register channels and nicknames to prevent hostile takeovers. We also have a MemoServ service that allows registered users to send messages to each other, typically while offline. Also, we do offer vhosts to all users; just ask an IRC operator to set you up with one. We also are running a NeoStats statistics server, with an open proxy scanning bot.
