Nightstar offers several reliable and user-friendly services to help you make the most of your IRC experience.

NickServ: Used to identify and register and identify your nickname so that other people may not use it. You will also need to be registered with NickServ to register a channel with ChanServ or use MemoServ, or to be granted access in a channel by ChanServ. This service is intended to provide a way for IRC users to ensure their identity is not compromised.

Chanserv: Allows you to register and control various aspects of channels. It can often prevent malicious users from "taking over" channels by only allowing specified users access to some IRC functions.

Memoserv: Allows you to send short messages to other Nightstar users, whether they are online at the time or not. Also, it allows you to send messages directly to a channel. Both the sender's nickname and the target nickname or channel must be registered in order to send a memo.

Botserv: Using sophisticated pattern-matching software, Botserv provides the network with protection against spammers, botnets, and other pleasantries. Only Nightstar Staff may change BotServ's settings. NOTE: This is not a service for users to host their own bots.
