We use a custom version of IRC services based on X3.
We offer:
CServe/ChanServ-
CServe is an inchannel CSB (Channel Services Bot), not too much unlike X from UnderNet but with a twist. CServe also functions like a standard ChanServ bot as well. CServe can sit in channel (disabled by default) or reside outside channel as a standard ChanServ type bot. With more than 175 commands that can be used to manage any channel for any level of skill level of ChanOp.
CServe comes with a very sane default configuration so it requires very little tweaking, this is good for inexperienced users as they don't need to sift through 175+ commands to make their channel usable. While on the other hand there are 175+ commands available to expert users to tweak their channel settings to their hearts desire.
CServe include a basic xOP system as well as numerical access levels. Unlike some other services packages, you don't have to choose which system to use, they are both available all the time! no need to toggle xOP on|off.
AuthServ/NickServ-
AuthServ is an UnderNet style authentication service that works off of user accounts and not owned nicknames. This is AuthServ's default behaviour, NickServ is an optional service for those that wish to "own" their nicks. and both systems work side-by-side so that any user's preference is fulfilled.
AuthServ/NickServ has more than 45 commands for use of tweaking. Like CServe, AuthServ has a very sane default configuration so inexperienced users need not memorize alot of commands to make their account usable.
Unlike other services packages AuthServ/NickServ access is not only password protected, but hostmask protected as well. So as long as you maintan a sane list of allowed hostmasks, your account will be secured.
MemoServ-
MemoServ has more than 15 commands to make it one of the most feature filled Memorandum Service Bots! Memos can be sent to nicks or account usernames. Features include the ability to use receipts, notification types, recalling sent memo history and much more!
HostServ -
We do not have a traditional HostServ, we set our vHosts via NickServ/AuthServ and vHosts are attached to an account which makes it so there is not need for NickServ Groups.
SpamServ (TheJudge)-
We offer TheJudge as an optional service bot used to monitor channel traffic for repeats, floods, caps and most importantly ... SPAM! With more than 20 commands to configure TheJudge, it's a very configurable service and as with all CollectiveIRC's services bots, is very sanely configured so the most inexperienced user can use TheJudge without having to learn all the commands to befunctional.
TheJudge is a very unbias bot and if misconfigured will even kick/ban the channel founder for rules violations making TheJudge earn it's nick and a very effective channel management tool!
Zeus/OperServ-
Zeus is our Operator Service Bot with more than 150 commands available to all IRCops of access 0 through level 1000. As with some other services packages that allow certain IRCops to have God like powers, we as well have such abilities. This allows more experienced and the more trusted staff the ability to override many channel features to help keep the network safe. Unike other packages with God powers, ours requires specificly granted access given with our flag based system in AuthServ. This way only the most trusted opers are allowed to have such a high level of access. The flag system is seperate from Zeus' operator access level system so the access to such God powers is individually assigned and not based on a minimum level of access. The only exception to this is level 1000 users can use God powers without needing the proper flag. This is because all the 1000 level opers are trusted opers and only the founders of our network will ever have 1000 level access.
All Zeus commands are logged and monitored closely. Unlike other services packages all oper accounts are protected by hostmasks like AuthServ. This adds yet another layer of security to the mix and makes it far more difficult for access to fall into the hands of the wrong person.
