We have a number of different services on 1andallirc, including Chanserv, Nickserv, and Botserv. Chanserv is used to register channels, register auto operators and half operators, and it also helps to protect channels from takeovers.
Nickserv is basically to register a nickname, to prevent it being used by another person and to ghost a nickname, if you ghost during a netsplit. |
