United Christian Chat has always been a free service, is currently, and intends to remain such into the foreseeable future. UCCN is committed to keeping Jesus reachable by all, and that means not charging for the opportunities to fellowship with other Christians, or to begin a first-time relationship with Christ.

We have a centralized administration system that allows us to keep configuration of the network very specific while still allowing server administrators to be unique on their own servers.

UCCN network staff do not interfere in channels except at the request of a channel staff member.

We work hard to be innovative and different, to stand out from the crowd. We were an early adopter of Secure Sockets (encrypted connections), we believe we are also the first Christian IRC Network to support IPv6 connections. We were one of a small group of Christian IRC networks to work with Mibbit and allow ‘real’ connections from the Mibbit web chat service. We are always trying to maximize our use of resources while minimizing the complication level for our users.
