Starlink-IRC.Org was founded in January 1997 as a truly family-friendly cybertown. Warez and porn are prohibited and there are only two rules 1) Don't annoy other people and 2) Don't be too easily annoyed. We have a number of support channels for those with disabilities as well and take some pride in our litttle expieriment in rationally managed chat networks having done as well as it has. StarLink-IRC is a truly family-friendly network that operates like a cybertown. The channels are the homes and shops, and the rest of the net is the parks and roads. Our only requirement is that folks don't abuse the privilges of others and their right to a place to chat, visit, and exchange ideas.

Starlink-IRC is the most supportive chat net in my experience. When I started #Fibrochat, I received help over and above that which I would have expected and with the personal involvement of the staff, trouble never had a chance to get started. Starlink-IRC is the only chat net I know of which has town meeting and a free flow of information between staff and users. I not only found a safe, protective net for my channel, but also a warm and gracious community. I love my home on Starlink-IRC; I love the parks and roads and all the wonderful people I've met there.

Starlink-IRC is by far The Best, The Safest IRC Chat Server I have been on. Everyone visits each other and are like family. The adminstrators and staff at SLIRC go beyond most admins to help the chatters and the channel owners. They are there at any time if you need them and often visit the channels to chat. The townhall meetings are great every week and on holidays, townhall is open for chatters to come and visit.
