Unlike many other networks, QuickFox...
- does not need kill/k-line protection modes for users/opers, because the operators are responsible people.
- users don't worry about having their nicknames changed, because the operators are yet again.. responsible people.
- is ran by IT professionals who actually understand the IRC protocol, how the servers work.
- writes their own services when they see the need to (such as a Second life <-> IRC relay service).
- will try their best to help anyone get on the network who wishes todo so, despite their restrictive firewall issues by creating custom solutions to help them (ie: proxy over DNS).
- does not assign vhosts to users unless they really need it (DNS polution).
- does not attempt to spy on our users
This network, despite being small has attracted quite a few various interest groups which have taken up residence on the network, including:
- Otherkin/spirituality/weres
- Role-players
- Sphere online shard communities
- Furs (or Furries)
- Second life groups
- Anime fans
- Furcadia communities
