LichtSnel is a Dutch chat network with a lot of different communities. Some communities specialize in Linux, some discus philosophical or spiritual issues, others are build around famous people. We have the chats of famous Dutch radio-dj's like Giel Beelen, and the official Rank-1 chat. We also have a news channel whcik provides 24/7 news from 10 sources, you can get tv-notifications when your favorite show begins, or relax while playing chess or trivia. There are two bots which help you search Google, do calculations or make translations amongst a lot more.
LichtSnel is a free and social network; everybody is free to start it's own communities; and use the services (chanserv and nickserv) to protect themselves and their channels. If you need help, you can join #helpdesk where you can always find an IRC-operator to assist you.
Forbidden is right-wing propaganda, discrimination, people-bashing and intimidation.
We've chosen to use the Dutch language because that way we can meet each others IRL next to on IRC. Different communities often have meetings. But it is not forbidden to start an international channel; but please consult an IRC-operator before you start a non-dutch channel.
