- The following is a list of guidelines and rules to be followed when using irc.php
- -games.net . Breach of any of the following will be viewed as a violation of serv
- er rules.

- The general policy for rule violations is as follows:

- 1st offense - A warning is given and the violator is instructed to read the IRC r
- ules.
- 2nd offense - The user is kicked from the channel.
- Repeated offenses - The user is banned for 1 hour in the channel.

- *Severe rule violations may however result in a long-term or permanent ban. This
- is entirely at the IRCops discretion.

- IRC Rules

- 1. Use of irc.php-games.net for the promotion of illegal activities is prohibited
- . This includes but is not limited to all warez products.

- 2. No vulgar, racist, or offensive language. This includes but is not limited to
- swearing and harrassment of any kind. We get many kinds of people, from all over
- the world, of all ages in our channels, and we wish to keep the channels friendly
- to all users.

- 3. Do not post links containing offensive or vulgar content.

- 4. Advertisement of other sites is not allowed other than in those channels you o
- wn, unless done through the services of php-games.net . Php-games staff reserve t
- he right to send a maximum of twelve advertisements via global messaging per day.

- 5. No spamming or flooding. This includes unauthorized scripts and bots, repeated
- ly pasting or writing the same message multiple times, and excessive use of color
- s, bold font, or capitalized text. Flooding is any string of 10lines with in a 20
- second period, and may result in a kick. Excessive Flooding is when a user floods
- more then once, in any given period of time, and will result in an instant ban f
- rom the channel.

- 6. Main channels on server (ie #ce ,#help) should be english language only out of
- respect to everyone using server.

- 7. Religious and/or political discussion is prohibited in all php-games.net opera
- ted channels. In life as well as online people take these topics very seriously,
- which in turn leads to arguments/fights breaking out and can disrupting the flow
- of chatting.

- 8. Anyone under the age of 13 must have parental permission to use our irc server
- .

- 9. Any channels with a set topic containing 18+ content must be made secret (+s)

- 10. Do not change your nickname in order to communicate when a channel is moderat
- ed.

- If you have been banned:
-
- Do not start forum topics about being banned and/or kicked. It will only make the
- ban last longer.
- Only ask the op who banned you to remove the ban.

- If you feel you have been banned unfairly, you may appeal the decision by sending
- a message to either mdshare or Scarlet, either through the php-games forums or b
- y IRC.
