- ** BOTs rules

- As lots of people have bots and like to bring them on the network, here are
- some rules you should read and understand.

- - Bots can connect to the network, but should avoid being connected more than
- once.
- - Bots must set the mode +B (bot) on themselves
- - A bot can join a channel only with the channel's owner permission
- - A bot SHOULD identify with NickServ, to protect its nick
- - A bot MUST NOT join a channel and part immediatly or within less than one
- hour only for statistical purpose. There is no reason for a bot to join and
- leave a channel immediatly.
- - Bots acting as statistic bots CAN connect and disconnect to the network
- after issuing commands such as /list or /links. Again we press it once more,
- those bots MUST NOT join any channel, or all our efforts will be made to ban
- these bots.
- - Bot's owner (botmaster) contact should be available, either in bot's
- realname or by reply of a CTCP VERSION or CTCP FINGER command.
