| UK Chatrooms was established in October 2003 after MSN decided to close it's chat service, The founders of the site had all been involved in the mangement of successful rooms and communities for several years and felt that there was still a demand for high quality chat services and as a result UK Chatrooms was founded.
Since it's start UK Chatrooms has grown beyond all original expectations and in a short period of time has come to be home to lots of established rooms and communities that were looking for a place to chat. With a user base of 25,000 people established within it's first quarter UKChatrooms looks set to be a real alternative.
We believe that properly moderated and managed rooms can avoid the pitfalls of chat that have been so well documented in recent press and our aim is to achieve a network where people can find mutual support and friendship through this medium. |
