Previously known as CSMN IRC Network (which was up for a year before the name and network structure change essentially), the network was created mainly targeted at a single website essentially, as we had started out with a general userbase mainly of people who all known each other already.

Into it about a year was really when attempts were made to start trying to get a more broad userbase going from all over the net, and alexisNet was founded.
