ZiRC can say that they are firmly established in the IRC community since it was founded in 1998. For a long while ZiRC was a single server community that bounced around several other networks until it merged with Dragonsedge sometime during 2000. Their terms of service known as their Charter was created in 2001 when it began to become popular. This created several committees inside their administration, broken down into four areas: Network Committee, User Committee, Web Committee, and Routing Committee. In about 2002 they completed another successful merger with Chatworx and began working on their custom services, which today is completed and called ZiRCServ.
