History

Xelium got its roots as a large channel, #kefkastower, on an already established network. Around June 1st, 2007, the founder and cofounder of the channel decided to branch out, creating a new network of their own, FFMediaX. It ran until around October 2007, when the staff decided to "suspend" operations for a time so that they could reorganize.

A few weeks passed...and finally, Halloween 2007, the network was reborn as "SigTerm", with a new set of stable servers, a friendly staff, and a fairly healthy userbase. This lasted all the way through late December 2007, where the staff decided to undergo another overhaul.

And thus, one day later, the network came back, as a brand new network, called Xelium.org. At the time, it only had two servers. This grew to 4 client-accesible servers by late-January 2008...but, once more, it was deemed necessary that it had to be overhauled once more.

Xelium.org came back online no more than 36 hours later, with new software, new servers, and new staff. Again, it started as one server.

Today, Xelium has three client servers in its rotation, with a fourth in the testing phases. It has come a long way from what it used to be, but it can be said that the network shall continue to prosper for some time to come.
