SorceryNet was formed in late 1996.  A couple of servers once joined to Dalnet split off and the Adminstrators were determined to establish their own new network with a unique set up on how things would operate to benefit users and staff all around.  The goal to provide the public with a stable network and helpful staff was achieved in order to make chatting on IRC simple and fun. 

New Adminstrators also had the privilege of joining a network where their voices would be heard equally and decisions pertaining to the network still are decided by a team instead of just an individual.  No single person would ever solely own the network.  This allows for smooth transitions of servers and better teamwork to ensure that the network lives up to its continued drive to make SorceryNet a solid environment for chatters.
