In February of 2006, Laura (aka {SGE}LauraG) created the channel #Stargate-Worlds on a network, that will go anonymous, for fans of the recently announced SGW game. She is a veteran of the FPS game Stargate: The Alliance and used to administrate their forums before the game was cancelled around the time that Stargate Worlds was announced. The channel steadily grew over time and near the end of 2007 averaged 40 users. From the beginning of 2007, developers of the game started to poke around after which the possibility came that too many will connect at once from Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment's HQ. This would cause the network's services to think they're all the same person because they all have the same IP Address, and G-Line (ban) them. This and a few other things played part in the decision to create our own IRC network dedicated to SGW and future games. The network was originally called SGWirc, but has since changed it name to ReplayIRC to cover many more game companies.
