Quasinet came into existense more like an accident than something that was really planned. The first server, Frankenstein, was set up early september 2003. It was originally planned as a place to test out some ideas without disturbing the already existing networks. After a few days the server needed a name, so after a bit of brainstorming, quasinet.org was chosen. Quasi meaning "weird or unusual" and net for "network". | |
