Lots of security and hacking related sites were closing and the scene was becomming stale, it was in this regard that Planet-Sec was concieved, we wanted to create a community that thrived on users chatting and sharing knowledge without it being central to one website, instead we could have all the security minded sites together on one IRC network.  Thus on September 11, 2007 Planet-Sec Was created.  We have come along way since then and plan to grow more in the future.
