McInTEC IRC went live in September of 2008. Before that time, the McInTEC community had several channels on another IRC network. The community was steadily growing, and for several reasons, the McInTEC staff decided it was time to start their own IRC network. Since that time, McInTEC IRC has seen steady growth in average users, and continues to grow!
