How it started
2002 nox, RedWings, oggy and me (tassilo) met at CDI where we got prepared to be Linux System and Network Administrators. During our c-language classes i created a little irc chat to have some fun during class and maybe also talk with other students at cdi. Since life at CDI was mostly somehow boring we spend the most time chatting and playing around with the ircd and bots.
It continues
In Spring 2003 i met RedWings again and he told me that nox keeped the habbit to have a irc and that it was a place to meet our former classmates from cdi. Later we started to play arround with our own ircd's and RedWings introduced me into the world or irc and eggdrop *G* some weeks later we started to have our own irc network running 3 servers at our homes.
i7c was born
Summer 2003 we thought of taking the irc network "serious" and on a meeting we choose to name it i7c.org. the name mostly doesnt mean annything, i just got a list of all avalible 3char .orgs and i7c seems to be nice. just replace the 7 with a r and you have irc.org wich is somehow nice. we first used ircd, then dancer and right now we r using unreal ircd.
