After many years of being a test network for ircd-hybrid, HybChat opened its doors in 2007 to the public after previously being part of HATnet, a private test network, and HybNet, EFnet's test network for hybrid-ircd. Our goal was to create a place where friends could get together and chat, discuss ideas, have a good time, and play games such as Guildwars, World of Warcraft, TFC, and TradeWars.
