Hak5IRC began as #hak5 on EFNet. Later, the channel joined the techphile-irc network which ran for approximately 6 months. After stability issues, techphile-irc closed operations. The admins of techphile-irc joined together to form the Hak5IRC network. The network has been operational for approximately 1 year. Over the year, the network has undergone many server changes as well as a conversion from UnrealIRCd to InspIRCd recently.
