Failnet begun as a combination of zn3t's zn3t-IRC, and Bashew's BashNet. Both were single-server IRC networks. BashNet was a testing ground for BashBot, and zn3t's IRC server was a playground for him and his projects. Originally based near Western West Virginia (zn3t-IRC), and Central Virginia (BashNet), we've slowly grown. In Late March, Bashew bought failnet.net's domain name, marking a true statement on the internet. Later in March, a dedicated server was purchased, which is now Failnet's Hub (Located around Houston, Texas). In early April, Kirk wanted to link up EpecWeb's IRC server (Another single-server IRC network), to create a Central Illinois link. Since then, BashNet was decommissioned in favor of the Hub. Currently the network layout is:
hub.tx-us (Network Hub)

`-- failboat.wv-us (Ex. zn3t-IRC)
|
`-- voyager.il-us (EpecWeb)
