Coldfront IRC was formed 10th, 2002 by the founder of the Stratics IRC Network, FrostByghte. The network started as a test to determine if Stratics IRC should change ircds from customized bahamut to unreal.
irc1 and irc2.coldfront.net were the first servers online and as time went on more and more people decided to move to Coldfront and chat there because of the feel of Stratics had changed so much since the old days of its creation.
The first IRCops were: FrostByghte, Singe, Beldock, Glamdring
The first real channels were #hl, #runuo/#uox, and #lotd. #hl and #lotd were guild channels and #runuo/#uox is a channel dedicated to the RunUO emulator for Ultima Online. |
