CodersNet was founded on 25. october 2004 by Magnon and Gerrit, both interested in programming. That's why there were made plans for providing a network thought especially for this user base.
CodersNet was named Coders-Net at the beginning and was dedicated to users in Germany. Today it has been switched to a multi-language network trying to provide coding help for everyone, there is even a server in the UK ready today.
At the beginning there was only a very simple website which didn't have any functionality for users and the old Q bot as the main service. Therefore the development committee was founded which soon started making a new website which is already in use today and modifiying the Q source like it was needed. Today the development team doesn't do any modifications to those old sources anymore, instead they've written an own services framework which already has replaced most old services and which will replace the modified Q version by a self-made module written from scratch. The goal is to provide a good overall service and to take care of user's wishes and suggestions. | |
