BlueLiquidX started back in 2005 as a private relay network.  It was used primarily for testing purposes for peoples projects they were currently coding.  After that phase was over, BLX team had decided to accept links from other networks, upon reviewing the link applications the team met some interesting people.  We tested a few links to various networks but never made it a permanent move.  After a few years gone by and a lot of different personalities dealt with, the BLX team has decided it would be best to remain a private, yet public network to offer a group of people a 'family' that we are all familiar with.
