| Jason is the developer and owner of SearchIRC and IRCImages.
One of the original users on the fledgeling Undernet network, Jason was a teenager when he helped establish Superchat, the first family oriented IRC network, in the summer of 1993. His experience with IRC ranges from developing robots such as Serv, a network services bot and the help bot Darkbot, as well as Acronym and Twenty One game bots. Jason served as technical administrator of AT&T's Undernet IRC servers from 1996 to 2001, where he also co-owned one of the largest help channels on the network. His extensive understanding of IRC led to the concept of a multi network channel search engine. He began developing SearchIRC in early 2000, and it debuted online a full year later. Jason is a professional software developer who has worked on numerous web search engines, as well as database projects for telecommunications companies. He is responsible for all the design and code for SearchIRC and its offshoot, IRCImages.
