update intervals

I was just wondering how often the bots connect to update, is all. Couldn't find it in the FAQ.

Hi there,

the rate at which the robot connects to a given network is defined at the time that I setup the network. I usually setup very large networks that I have explicit permission from, to always stay connected (giving very very smooth user graphs), and list once every 20-60 minutes. Other networks will be connected to every hour. Smaller networks and networks that have no explicit permission are typically setup for query every 3 hours.

The biggest factor for three hours is so that it doesn't raise alarms with overactive operators who watch luser connects.

So the answer your question: It all depends. Smile

Ok cool, thanks for the info. I wouldn't have a problem with hourly connects, just FYI, but my network is small so every 3 hours is cool too. Just was curious.
