We are looking for some room helpers and server promoters if you got experience in helping chatters and or promoting a network Please fill the application out and we will look it over. We want serious ppl interestesd in helping us grow

| what i meant promoting is adding our site to search engines places that allows network advertising not spamming other networks geez im not that stupid to ask ppl to do that sorry if you took that wrong |

why would people dip in their own pocket to pay for something ie search engine sites that they wont be paid back for? |

By your logic, that must mean all the servers that link to networks aren't actually donated by other people, they're actually owned and purchased by the network owners...
Isn't it the same thing? IRC server hosting isn't free.. So I guess the answer to your question is, the same reason they would dip in their own pocket to pay for IRCd hosting to link to a network knowing they won't be paid back for that either. But the thing with that is, I wouldn't expect people to fork out money for search engine stuff unless the network is huge, but you never know, someone generous may just come along. I've seen it happen...
And besides, I thought its free to actually add your site to search engines using meta tags on your site's html? Correct me if I am wrong.. |

Paying for a server is completely different, hosting a server gives a user a place to chat besides msn or yahoo or aim. Its up to the Network Owner if they want to pay for the hosting |

I don't really see how paying for a server is different. Hosting a server gives a user a place to chat, but paying for search engine listing gives a network (or in this case, a user who runs a network) a source of advertisement.
That is the only difference, so either way, its still the same, as it provides something for another user, that may or may not be beneficial to the person who is donating the service. So, to answer your question again, the same reason as they would pay for IRCd hosting to link to the network. |
