Right - that is the problem.
You're using a domain that doesn't belong to you - eu.org isn't your domain, nor your network name.
When someone submits a network called Undernet.eu.org and wants to be called Undernet, we cannot do that, because Undernet is a preexisting network.
But what happens if the network isn't as big? The same rule still needs to apply.
The problem with using domain services like eu.org is that you do not own your own domain.
#2 from the FAQ page I mentioned previously:
| Quote: | | You do not own your network's domain name, or your network is on dynamic IPs. Chalk this one up to bad experience. We have added dozens of these types of networks (and it takes us about 4 hours to create each network's section) only to delete them before the week is out because they have simply disappeared. When you submit an IRC network you are asking SearchIRC to spend our time and money reviewing and promoting it. If the network administration is not willing to invest in the basics that indicate an intention of permanency, we are not willing to invest in it either. |
