Want to make a good size net , any help?

We have an ok server right now , just looking to improve. we have currently around 25+ users and are looking to grow. We are curently thinking of a main theme for the net, it was just for chat. but since theres a Xdcc channel coming soon , there will be mainly that on the net since it will be bringing around 300+ users . so it will out do the 25 so i have. If you are looking for somthing like that or want to link to some new server stop by and check it out. the Xdcc rooms arnt around now but will be in like a month within a month

because you allow warez you'll likely find that most of the net admins who hang around here won't want to link, so maybe locate a decent sized warez network and link to that.

imho warez doesn't bring a lot of chatters, just downloaders - are they the type of users you really want?

most people use xddc, and warez to make there server bigger by using bots and applying people from other servers

You are welcome to check out irc.flameirc.net as much as *I* hate warez/xdcc being there and am one of the network owners they are there you are welcome to come on over to perhaps chat with us/me a possible link.

Amongst the warez we host a number of channels for pool/snooker games which make use of irc for their in game communication, though these users and channels are kept hidden from us normal irc users, if you were to link you will soon see our network isnt all xdcc, along with that we have our regular users and are growing by the day peeking 1800 users.

Our opers are more relaxed, we dont enforce stupid rules on the network but we like to keep some order and if users get to far out of hand.

We run unrealircd + anope (yuck i know) combination and we arnt looking for a network merge where we loose our services/name or ircd. though the linking server can keep it's own domain.

Please dont flame me people for having xdcc, if i had my way i would gline the lot but isnt my call todo so.

cool well , i said there would be like a couple new rooms(some xdcc rooms) but the majoritfy will be just chatters. i hate rooms filled with just bots , but thats what their bringing and i don't care on what they bring , as long as its real people and not all bots. so it wont be mainly xdccing, right now my net is a chatting net, and some xdccing people want to join so i said ok. i really dont want my net to be mainly that so im working on making sure there will be more chatters then xdccing , other then that its mainly chatting , but the extra option of xdccing if anyone likes that. to me i really dont like that stuff i rather download things off limewire or what ever. im not sure as what xdcc is , i think its just sendning music and movies through irc . fun i guess but you can allways use limewire to get things lol. and that "300+" thing probally 30 or less would be stupid bots , so i think it will be allright

yes it was up 24/7 . its off atm , yes it was stable and will be once i turn it back on again
