The move to upgrade MyChannel has started.
In order to create a MyChannel from this point on, you'll need a SearchIRC userid. For the time being, simply use your discussion board login/pass.
This has the following effects:
1) Unified login. Simply sign in once, and you'll be authed for messageboards and your MyChannel.
2) You can change your MyChannel password this time around.
3) Once you're signed in, you don't need to ever type in your login/pass again for the session. It's all automatic.
Older MyChannels will function exactly as they have in the past. If anyone with an older MyChannel wishes to upgrade, let me know and I'll make the changes for you.
In the days to come, a unified SearchIRC login/password system will be created rather than using the discussion board login system.
Also, the new features of MyChannel will be available -- mainly multi-page MyChannel with HTML the MyChannel admin can set/design, and details about MyChannel Pro  |
