Well im stuck with a shell that u can only connect on port 7000 with , thats why i dont want it, im waiting for a shell for my other server so i can have that. but right now i have 2 servers , 1 on a shell and one not, the one on the shell doesn't have services and the 1 without the shell is the one i have services on. but there both linked together so once i wake up and turn on my computer then the flamechat one with services turns on, while the other one trys to auto connect to the one with services, what im offering is a good link up if any1 wants to link with me. or ill think about just giving u the one on the shell . ill just add your olines and it would be yours . the one on the shell is PyroChat.No-Ip.Org 7000 and the one thats rurnning on my comp is FlameChat.No-Ip.Org . my nick is SPAWN on there so if you wanna know more just msg me up there. if flamechat is down then just go on the pyrochat port 7000 and wait till i get on and services come back up then ill be there

I'd imagine the reason you can only use 7000 on the shell is because 6667 is used for another irc network. Makes it a moot point since most people only connect to 6667

Eh, its sorta useless for running an irc server off of. Maybe a BNC service or something, but irc server is sorta out of the question, unless its for a private irc network. Its also in FDCServers, which in that case, i dont see why your friend doesnt request you an ip for you to use, but eh, its free.

Could use it as a spare hub, incase your main goes down.

FDCServers' peering is quite good lately as well, so using it as a hub is feasible. They dropped cogent and finally have some good peering providers.
