Hey SearchIRC admins, we appreciate you keeping this site alive and all, but I think i speak on the behalf of the IRC whore population here, when I say we want to see the live support again. I sent a support mail to you guys, days ago, and no reply.

Whats it going to take to get you to show some love again.

If you could, please re-index Hell-IRC, its already listed but no longer index'ed. DNS and everything is fixed and is re-opened. PLEASE!!!


Remove DR-Diablo and add this acc to the admin if possible too, this is new account. Very Happy

Concerning the live support, that was dropped because nobody used it so became a waste of time. That has been asked again and again in many a thread here.

You act like I don't sit around and read. I've seen it, and im telling you differently. I want the support back, because its impossible to get anything done on SearchIRC anymore.

Oh keep your pants on. Your network is reactivated.

We don't send auto "we received your request today" emails, and we can't just do what someone asks - you'd certainly raise a fuss if we stopped listing your net or transferred access without verifying the person who asked has the authority to do so. We check out each request, and answer in the order in which they came in... and it took all of three and a half days before we got to you.

I like live support. Its really a nice feature to have moderators that are able to respond immediately. I sat in our live support channel for YEARS. But that's the point. We need to work to like, eat, and stuff. Oh, we could fill up the site with porn popups. Then we could stay here 24 hours a day to wait on the occasional impatient admin. But we want to save your delicate eyes from the sight of overinflated boobies. :p

Due to time zone differences, it was not possible to provide the level of support required of an IRC channel 24/7.

Additionally, there were random users who popped in, and the majority of the time it was just people shooting the breeze. When a real person needing help showed up, they tended to get lost in the discussion, or we would simply not notice them since there's no way to devote 100% of our time to monitoring the channel.

At the same time, we had a lot of emails requesting help. It became apparent that it was much more efficient to take care of people that way.

Ultimately, the only reason the live help existed was to grant access to IRC admins so they could modify their network information on SearchIRC. Once that was automated, there was no reason left for the live support.

To continue a live support channel that was ineffective at best, would be a disservice to all, and a waste of time.
