You dont like or run UnrealIRCd? Stop reading.
In the quest of getting more users for my own server, i've come up with several things.
1. Ask my friends to join (Obvious)
2. Go multilangual
2. Advertised on several small websites.
Some will like my plan, and some don't
The whole idea is linking up a few small servers to a network of avarage size.
Currenty my network has about 20 daily users, with a peak of 32. I know it isn't much, but think of it, 20 times 5? There you go, you have a start of 100 daily users.
So i'm looking for servers that are willing to join my network, current map:
| Code: | 19:05:08 •›› Raw (6): irc.extreme-irc.eu (22) 1
19:05:08 •›› Raw (6): |-dennis.extreme-irc.eu (5) 2
19:05:08 •›› Raw (6): `-services.extreme-irc.eu (21)
19:05:08 •›› Raw (7): End of /MAP |
Interested? Join #help on irc.extreme-irc.eu or just give a reply to this topic. No 'pm me' please.
Extreme-IRC currently has 2 netadmins, and 2 normal admins. On my opinion its always fun in our 'main' chat channel #nachtkamer
We run Unreal3.2.4 with Anope-1.7.14, and dont think about it to post a reply with 'Unreal sucks!' Cause it doesnt.
We are 24/7 online, currently on a 100MBit connection.
Hope to hear from some users
P.s. Dont bother saying the website is outdated, we know and we are working on it. |

| Not to be rude or anything, but networks grow because they fulfill a need for their users. Simply linking any server you can find is a bad way to try and grow a network, and it more than likely will only cause you headaches down the road. Instead, try and create a niche -- something your network does better than the thousands of others out there. Build upon that niche, and others will notice, and soon follow. |

How do you plan on dealing with any potential inter-server fights when (not if) the event occurs? |
