I think it would be good if we could vote on threads to display by default -- there are too many absolutely worthless threads on the boards as of late; allowing for a customizable threshold setting (based on thread popularity -- i.e. either karma-based moderation or clickthroughs) would allow for those of us who do not want to really read these mudslinging threads/threads with pointless topics.

Hmm, maybe RSS for certain users would be nice too. I'd really like to know what katsklaw is reading, for instance. Wink

Last but not least, I think that a thread/forum ignore on the Latest Posts page would be a nice feature too.

Yeah, last time i suggested kama based i was rightly told "kama sucks" which, well, it does, eventaully, but anyway - while i hate to suggest another /. style system, how about tags? so people can assign tags to threads, like "pointless","flamebait" and "post whoring", then allow users to filter them when viewing latest posts? :)

unfortunately, there are not too many good mods for this - at least none that im aware of

one that might be considerable and that i have on my phpbb is the democracy mod

another, probably very fun one would be mod troll Razz

hmm im not too sure if you meant a feature like this with it or more of a "blogroll" where users can post which blogs they read and such.

either you wait for jason to implement this mod or want to take a look at this in the meanwhile Razz

oh and another completely different option would be to migrate this board to slashcode
