Use both, and find some decent DNSBL's for BOPM.
Bear in mind not all proxies can be detected anyway. SO if by working bad you mean didnt detect all then there is NO way around that anyway.
A Decent DNSBL or a few in BOPM will generally catch most proxies though. |

use correct and relative blacklists too!! .. I've been akilled before because some yahoo that had my IP before I did happened to do some email spamming ... which has NOTHING to do with IRC!!
google the term ircbl and http://ahbl.org as well as http://dronebl.org/ which focuses on IRC related blacklists. |

Jobe i didnt mean that all proxies will have to be banned ... but my bopm's catch rate is 10 % ... so u can guess how it is.....
and i didnt update DNSBL or i rather say i didnt knew it requiresd to be updated and if yes how .... and if bopm starts working fine i wont have the need to use defender as i have preety good regex's and spamfilters for nick floods.
thanks a lot guys for all of ur kind replies. |

You probaly need more port scans and better DNBSLs...
IRC Defender doesn't catch proxies |
