| What rude and distasteful comments? The ones on your network page don't look offensive or rude to me in any way. |

Had a quick look too and cant see anything like you described.
SearchIRC encourages admins to respond to any comments that they feel are un true. No network is perfect, and it can be a good thing to see some complaints...shows its a normal network...and a reply from an admin about the claims is even better!
Good luck,

I just put in an option to disable network comments (removes the comment link and all mention of it) from a network's page. You'll find this option when you edit your network's information in the control panel.
Just keep in mind that when it's hidden, some users might think you have something to hide. |

| Seriously, critisizm is what helps a network, i think people should encourage feedback, i know i do, even if it is negative, just tells us what we are lacking on |

Problem is... People take their 'personal opinions' to insults and flaming Networks.
Good Comment:
| Quote: | | I disagree with most of the rules and I think they need to take the time and make the Network more enjoyable. I wouldn't really recommend this Network to anyone. |
Bad Comment:
| Quote: | | the rules are retarded, you get banned for no !@#$@#! reason, it's a shitty network, don't join! |
get my point? |

Most reasonable people would know to simply ignore those comments. However, it could be solved by some sort of moderation (although I doubt Jason et al would want to have to moderate all those as well as the forum posts).
I agree with ]Daniel though, and maybe it should be explicitly mentioned on the network pages if a network has opted to deny feedback. |

| It would be a good idea that networks who disable the comments have it written onto their network page. This way, you know if they possibly have soemthing to hide.... |

Actually, I just thought of an idea.
Mabye have a "Report Bad Comment" link next to every comment on a Network.
And mabye, make it send the comment to the admins and to see whether they should remove it or not. (I'd assume removing the ones that are insulting, etc.) |

| If the person who runs the network gets to moderate the comments, then the entire thing loses any value. |

So if someone were to click a "Report Bad Comment" link, it'd go to the SIRC staff for moderation, and they could decide what to do with it |
