I found my current love on IRC and it seems like i've known her my whole life. She's amazing in every way. I just wanted to share that, because most people don't think it's possible, and I used to feel the same way as most about IRC dating, until the perfect girl and I found eachother.

It's much easier to meet the "real person" when talking on IRC. Since first impressions are the most important, an opinion of the other person is already forming before pictures are swapped. Just look at the numbers for example. If you go to a club, there may be several hundred people there and the first thing you notice is the outside, long before you see the inside. It removes the ' I don't like that one because he/she is fat/skinny/ugly/blonde/redhead/black/hispanic/white/green/asian". On IRC there is the potential to see thousands of people globally and you see them differently than just physical characteristics. The biggest con in IRC dating is that there are too many ways to deceive.
However, with deception aside, I feel you have a better chance of meeting Mr/Ms Right on IRC. |

Love on line is simply another avenue to explore in the dating game. You meet people in the strangest places. Who's to say when it will happen. The slightest spark of attraction and it's all up and down from there on. I've met friends, made enemies same as real life... go figure  The one thing I know for certain... It is far better to be alone and lonely than with some one and be lonely. I've found many people have difficulty walking away from a pc for 5 minutes even when Mr/Mrs Right is in the next room... and I don't mean channel  |

Congrats I've met my girl on irc too and shes a sweetie
Love over the net is possible. It brings back important things like real feelings
need to share moments, words, thoughts. In simple words.. It makes the best kind of love to come back to life. Or it is just me? I really don't know and I don't really care much. It did work out for your girl and you and it did work out for my girl and I so that's enough for me to believe on love over the net :p
