Help with services (fxserv) needed

Hi everyone,

i just installed unrealircd 3.2 RC2 and then fxserv (also the latest)

no i cant seem to get them to link properly
the fxserv logs only output

[16:30:50] Connected to IRC server localhost:6667
[16:30:51] Disconnected from IRC server localhost:6667

any ideas ?

i added the link info to the unrealircd.conf and the same info to fxserv.conf

here´s my unrealircd.conf entry :

link services.six4one.com
{
username *;
hostname localhost;
bind-ip *;
port 6667;
hub *;
password-connect "****";
password-receive "****";
class servers;

};

what does unreal report when the server tries to link?

try using localhost's IP ... 127.0.0.1

Don't use pageserv, the protocals have changed, and will stop it from running, SMSServ is also out of date, only thing it's good for is findserv, and fileserv.

You should be able to have the program echo out whats happening when its connecting - try using --help to see if any commandline switches are available (something like --fork or --nofork etc)

if you login as an oper with global-admin perms on unrealrdc 3 (windows) you get a global message when anything tries to connect
