Hello my name is Ryan and i currently own Chattingaway,
It appears my network info has gone hay wire. If you go to the ChattingAway homepage first to the left you see our top channels. The top 4 Are soul-gamers or something like that and the rest is just WAREZ. Those channels are from IRCsoulz and somehow your bots are putting them on our info. Thus its causing us to show has having 1k users and 105 channels etc. Please fix this ASAP jason or whoever is reading this that is an ADMIN. You will clearly see the problem when you go on our Net info on searchirc. Thanks |

Hi,
We have got your query and are investigating.
I just had a quick look and according to our bot your network was linked with IRCSoulZ on 2004-07-06 (yesterday)
If you look in Other servers previously seen list you can see for your self.
You think that may of happened?
Anyhow, we will clear your chan list to remove the offending chans.

This will usually happen because:
1) A network merge.
2) A server from your network delinks and links to another network while still listed in your DNS RR. |

| Can you please fix this ASAP? And restore it back to normal. It seems server page/chan/ranking/ is all messed up. We are non warez network and it says that in our description...to have 4 warez channels that have 200+ users, is not good. |

The only thing I can do is purge your server list, and channels.
It will take a while before the data is collected and your averages are returned.
Such is the risk with servers that delink and merge to other networks before your DNS updates. |

Keep in mind, as long as a formerly linked server remains in your network's round robin list, our indexer (and your users) will be directed to that network.
Purging a channel list only works if your round robin pool has been updated so the indexer joins your network *every time* it connects. If your round robin sends the indexer to that former server again, it will gather the channel data for that network and it will appear in your listing on SearchIRC again. |
