At 4:00pm EST this server will be rebooting for kernel updates.
The downtime should only be about 5 minutes.

I totally agree!!!
This is unacceptable. Whole 2!!! minutes - you must be crazy.
I almost had call a doctor! Very disappointed!

Yeah, I'm sorry about that guys.
I would like to seek redundancy and operate several web servers for SearchIRC, but at this time I'm unable to afford that much hardware.
However, that is not to say that there are no plans for it :) |

That 2 minutes probably saved a few megs in bandwith, which of course was immedietely used up when it came back up and everyone reloaded their pages  |
