I wanna Know why the host are only the Dns of the peoples who joining my server , And It could be Fine if you wanna learn me how to put the host


My server : GoD[pala (TheUltimat@24.201.56.193) has joined

I Want : GoD[pala (TheUltimat@TroisRppp41579.qc.sympatico.ca) has joined


I use Unreal ircd 3.2 For Windows

Maybe the DNS setup in your unreal configurations is wrong, so unreal cannot resolve IP's into hostnames.

1> not all IP's will resolve to hosts.

2> If none of the IP's resolve then there is a problem with your configuration somewhere, perhaps not the ircd, but somewhere.

You need to set the nameserver to your ISP's nameserver, or a nameserver close to you. Unreal3.2 defaults the nameserver to 127.0.0.1, which works on most machines, but not all.

One other thing to keep in mind, 24.201.56.193 resolves to modemcable193.56-201-24.mc.videotron.ca

Some IP addresses will not resolve to a hostname.
