Obi, good idea!
The information we're building on the network pages right now is just a start. I am totally blown away by the scope of features and the excellent, creative minds running today's IRC networks.
Its slow going. We're currently listing 703 IRC networks, and there are at least four more submitted in my mailbox this morning. I have contact information (admin, PR person) for only about half, and I am cursing my parents for making me take Latin, because its no help with Arabic, Slavic, Korean, and Norwegian websites. ;-) Unless network staff submits info by email or our user comment forms, its is difficult - and in some cases impossible - to find what I need.
The other side of that coin is providing a forum and information for the network builders - the admins, coders, etc., and those who aspire to run a network. Sourcecode info would definitely be under that umbrella. The recent coming together of admins from dozens of networks to defeat the Fizzler problem is a very good example of how sharing information between networks benefits the IRC community as a whole. Jason and I have to put our heads together and come up with something.
