Could people please post any attacks they have experienced that are still at large here and more importantly info on consistencies, how to detect, etc.
I'm about to have my network go pub with a starting userbase of probably around 500 and I want to make sure security is as good as it can be before it opens up. |

make sure you have an OPSB or something like that (open proxy scanning bot)
make sure your servers hosting your ircds are in good Datacenters and are properly maintained
make sure your staff knows the commands it needs to know, so if a bot net started to join your network they would be able to trace and detect it fast and then remove it
and make sure your staff are nice people sometimes ddos because they felt as if they werent greated with a warm welcome
