hey there, that was possibly asked before bu i havent found an answer yet. i'm looking for some java aplett that runs on my web server and connects from this server to an irc network. NOT from the users machine but from mine, the background is many firewalls and proxys allow port 80 traffic fine but block 666X. if anyone has something like this please let me know.

or you can do it the easy way and open port 7000
works for me.
I woudlnt use CGI:IRC unless you set it up to display the user's real hostmask.
becuase CGI:IRC is extremely prone to abuse. |
