|
|
ForeverChat IRC Network, established Nov 7 2001, seeks servers from the following locales in order to broaden its worldwide coverage:
EU: We already have a few servers from this region but wouldn't mind one or 2 more for redundancy.
AU: We need more servers from this region.
JP region: We currently have no servers from this region and would like to acquire 1 or 2.
Other regions: if a region is not mentioned, we don't have any servers there and would welcome them.
Please note that ForeverChat IRC network, having a good amount of servers already, does require a link application as well as a 30 day testlink period. This is to ensure server stability as well as finding the 'best fit' in the network. All servers are voted upon by all staff on the network and thus it will take 72 hours to recieve a reply on any application submitted.
We currently have plenty of servers from US and CA, but if you have a server you feel would benefit the network, we would be willing to accept an application for servers from this area also. However, we are limiting links from geographic areas to prevent too many servers, so we are nearing the limits for servers from these areas.
The network is also accepting IRCop applications, however we do require a person reside on the network for at least 30 days before applying. Exceptions can be made for persons who found and operate channels with an average of 20 users in them.

About ForeverChat IRC Network
ForeverChat IRC Network was founded Nov 7 2001. It currently has 23 servers spanning across the US, CA, EU, and AU. We currently average about 550 users and do not spam other networks to gain users, except for Newsgroup signatures and posts to Bulletin boards that allow it, no advertisement for the network occurs, we rely on word of mouth from satisfied users to get the word out. We offer full services including Chanserv, Nickserv, and Hostserv, with a liberal 45 day expiration period for nicks and 30 days for channels. We allow all channels except for those pertaining to child pornography or sex with minors. We pride ourselves on redunancy and stability, and welcome all users who wish to use our services. We are proud to be available to the internet at large and provide many servers to ensure users have plenty of options to connect. Although running a split free network is impossible since shell providers have to reboot and have downtime, by having a large number of servers on various hosts, we provide the redundancy needed to ensure users will always be able to reconnect if nessacary. ForeverChat IRC network can be visited by typing /server irc.foreverchat.net in any client, or for more information, visit http://www.foreverchat.net.

Just in case it wasn't implied with the last message, we are always seeking users also. We do have a pretty large capacity network wide (roughly 5000, and thats understating it a bit) due to the number of servers we have.
So if you're looking for a stable place to come chat, you're welcome to also, we have plenty of room and redundancy for ya |

Just as an FYI we have recieved and approved 2 links for linking shortly. Other interested parties are still welcome to apply, however this will bring us to 23 user servers, once we hit 25 we will have to raise our standards a bit for linking-we don't want the network to get too overly large either without usercount demand.
Thank you. |
